Introducing Zavers by Google — helping retailers and manufacturers deliver relevant coupons to shoppers
1/11/13
Today we’re excited to introduce
Zavers by Google
—a digital coupon solution that enables retailers and manufacturers to reward loyal customers with coupons that are relevant to them -- increasing basket size and redemption rates. So dog owners don’t get cat food coupons and parents of teenagers don’t get diaper coupons.
Unlike traditional media, Zavers’ real-time data gives manufacturers new ways to measure coupon redemptions and analyze consumer preferences so they can manage distribution, tailor campaigns, and optimize budgets for maximum ROI. Zavers also offers a
ccess to an extensive network of manufacturer coupons, opening up new retail revenue streams.
With Zavers, shoppers find manufacturer discounts on their favorite retailer websites, and save the digital coupons to their accounts.
Then they simply shop for those products and check out as usual.
Redemption occurs in real time, with
savings automatically deducted at checkout when shoppers provide their rewards cards or phone numbers—no scanning or sorting necessary
.
Manufacturers only pay when a product is moved off the shelf.
Zavers by Google is growing fast. This month we are thrilled to welcome New York’s Original Grocer, D’Agostino, as the latest partner in our retail network. In the coming months, we will be announcing partnerships with a number of other major retailers.
Retailers and manufacturers can see first-hand how Zavers works by visiting our demonstration booth at the annual NRF Convention & Expo, January 14-15 (booth #2281).
If you are a U.S.-based retailer or packaged goods manufacturer, let us show you how Zavers by Google can help. To get started, please contact our sales team at

Showcase your promotions and get your customers’ attention
10/18/12
Shoppers are savvier than ever. They use social recommendations, web searches and smartphone apps to make informed purchase decisions. So how can a retailer stand out and get a shopper’s attention?
Today, we're rolling out
a new way for retailers to reach shoppers
at the moment of interest. Retailers can now add promotions to their product listings on Google Shopping to make them stand out. In addition, they can distribute their promotions on other Google properties such as Google Maps for Android and the Google Offers app, and attract shoppers to their store.
Promotions are highlighted in product listings on Google Shopping
In a few simple steps retailers can create a promotions list, map it to the right products in Google Shopping and upload to
Google Merchant Center
. Our system supports user specific redemption codes and associated reporting, enabling retailers to measure the performance of each promotion.
Shoppers can see nearby promotions while searching in Google Maps for Android
This is one of the many steps we’re taking to provide traffic, technology and tools to help retailers grow their business. Over 25 well-known U.S. retailers, including 1-800-flowers.com,
OfficeMax®, Inc.,
Tommy Hilfiger, Express, Chico’s, Overstock, Guitar Center, Drugstore.com and Wayfair, are already part of this program.
In the coming months, we plan to expand the program to include more retailers.

Google Offers brings more deals to the Big Apple
11/21/11
The world’s holiday shopping capital now has more holiday cheer.
Since we introduced
a larger selection of personalized deals in San Francisco
a few weeks ago, we’ve received great feedback from our merchant partners and also from our customers--who are enjoying access to our expanded collection of 30+ daily deals for foodies, adventure seekers, families and more. There’s no doubt that people love getting personalized offers and merchants benefit from connecting with the right customers.
That’s why we’re happy to announce that we’re expanding deals from our partners to Google Offers subscribers in New York City. Starting today, New Yorkers can also find a greater selection of offers and receive multiple deals that match their personal interests all in one place, and accessible through the web, in email, or on their mobile device.
Today we’re also expanding our roster of partners to include
CityLikes
,
Dealster
,
Eversave
, and
Weforia
. We’ve also enhanced the
Google Offers site design
to make our expanded inventory of offers more easily discoverable and personalized to subscribers interests.
With the new Google Offers site design, even more deals from our partners are visible on each page.
In the coming months, we’ll continue to roll out our growing inventory of deals to more markets where
Google Offers
is available.
You can subscribe to receive deals that match your interests and learn more about Google Offers at
www.google.com/offers
. Also, you can always find deals from Google Offers on the go with the
Google Offers app on Android
